Published: 22nd November, 2004
It maybe a few years since Linda Lusardi posed as a page three girl but, time is certainly being kind to her - and she looked as lovely as ever when she launched a new cut of Diamond in the UK. And if anyone could make a £45,000 diamond necklace sparkle, then stunning Linda certainly managed it.
Linda, former page 3 model, is a patron of the Willow Foundation Charity which was set up by former Arsenal goal keeper Bob Wilson following the tragic death of his daughter, dazzled the RSVP guests at the exclusive launch held at a new art gallery in Northampton with Jeweller Winston’s. The evening was themed around ‘Fire & Ice’, with Champagne and Schnapps.
The Lucére Diamond from Krochmal & Lieber of Antwerp, is of revolutionary design and has a total of 65 facets, compared to the usual 57 . The diamond takes approximately 3 - 6months to be hand cut by a Master Diamond Cutter in Antwerp and then the stone is placed on a special computer which measures each precise cut to check that it reflects the light at perfect angles fro maximum effect.
Also on show at the event was extraordinary collection of the ‘World’s 100 most Famous Diamonds’ on loan from the DTC,( Diamond Trading Company) part of De Beers group
